Kiwi Worx – my choice for going green.
I have been working with Shane and Kiwi Worx for two years as I have worked to get my home powered by sunshine and watered by rain water. I have been and continue to be very happy with the decision to work with Kiwi Worx. There are multiple reasons for this.
1. While interviewing possible suppliers, I kept getting offered pre-determined start up solar kits with suppliers making assumptions about my priorities. Eg the starter kit will keep lights and the entertainment system running during load shedding. Shane, on the other hand, listened and understood that my main priority was my security system not my entertainment system. He also understood that I had a long term plan to become completely independent of coal fired energy so offered me a long term plan to start small and build up as I could afford it.
2. Shane never asked me how many kilowatts of energy I used – a question I could not answer. He asked me how much I spent on electricity every month. This I could answer. More importantly, it demonstrated that he understands that his clients are not experts in his field.
3. The products Kiwi Worx works with are extremely high quality with solid and reliable guarantees. I have only had the system for a few years but I have no reason to regret the decision to choose the higher end and more reliable products.
4. Shane has helped me improve and automate my previously simple water collection system to get that water into the house and do so incredibly economically.
Once Kiwi Worx and I had a plan to get me set up with solar, I found that Shane was extremely professional, reliable and punctual. I was happily surprised by how neatly and professionally he worked. His after sale service has been extraordinary. Still nowhere near being comfortable with understanding electricity, I’ve been able to get Shane’s help whenever I’ve needed it. Just an incredible delight and pleasure to work with Shane.
After working with Kiwi Worx on my house, I have used them to provide a wonderful battery backup system for a friend where solar isn’t positive and he has supplied me with solar equipment for my farm. While he has not installed that farm system, he has been so generous with his knowledge that we were able to install it ourselves. It’s a delight working with someone who is secure enough in his business model and himself to share his knowledge and expertise. It demonstrates his commitment to greener energy and ongoing support of his clients.

Kiwi Worx did a sterling job. We monitor the solar power produced, how much, if ever, we use from the grid, and cook our main meal at midday, utilising the power from the sun. Best investment ever. Easy to monitor everything from an app on our phones.
